The TRU org. is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to providing free youth sports programming for our youngest generations.  TRU uses sports to inspire young people to maximize their full potential while uniting economically and culturally diverse communities.

OUR VISION is to provide FREE sports empowerment programming for all school aged children.

TRU org. promotes active and healthy living for children.  We are dedicated to providing safe and positive environments where educating and enriching young lives through the joys of sports can occur. In sports settings values such as teamwork, tolerance and respect for all are able to be taught to translate outside of the playing grounds.  We aim to build safer and healthier communities by providing educational and uniting events that develop self-respect within children and neighborhoods.

Nik Caner-Medley co-founder and professional basketball player has seen the power of sports unite and educate throughout the world. Colby Emmons, founder and director has made an impact on several young lives serving as a coach, educator and mentor in the southern Maine area.  Walter Phillips a leader and coach in the Portland area has had made a positive influence on many young people through his involvement with the YES to youth program. 

The goal of TRU org. is to promote healthy and active lifestyles; to further mental and social development; and allow equal opportunities for all children by creating unique learning experiences for our youngest generations to play learn and grow.
